Please note that although Albir is very well served by this particular bus service, it is quite a long route. Many of the stops do not have a dedicated “pull-in” type of stop & as a consequence the number 10 route can be not as per the timetable. Early or late departures do occur frequently – But never mind there will be another one (or two) along soon – So just relax and enjoy your holiday!
All ticket fares on this route are at a cost of 1.50 €uro per single journey, whether it is one stop or the whole length of the route.

This service operates only on Saturdays & Sundays during the winter & offpeak seasons.
During high season it operates daily and is a great way of getting to the top end of  town in Benidorm. Or to the Poniente beach / Benidorm port, as it stops really close to here. Ideal if you want to take a Jet ski out, or Parasail around the bay. Tickets can be purchased here for the watersports.

FGV Tram – Alicante – Benidorm – Denia

There is not a main line railway station on this part of the Costa Blanca coast. However, there is a great tram service that runs all the way from Alcante to Denia. With some fantastic views to be had on every route you take. Inexpensive and with one train an hour, it’s a great way to explore the area!

There is a station here in Albir. But it is quite a way out from the center and does involve crossing the very busy N332 arterial road. Also should you miss the train there are no facilities for refreshments. We always advise visitors to take the bus 10 to Altea station from Albir.
There the bus stops at the quaint station, towered over by the church of  ‘Virgen del Consuelo’ & indeed it has a cafe with  a terrace should you have either missed you train or have some time to spare.

The FGV website is all in English so please click on the picture to be redirected to their site for all the timetables & prices etc.

Currently (as at June 2018) between Calpe & Denia the line is out of use, due to maintenance work and all stations are served by a special bus that connects with each tram at Calpe or Denia.

It is unclear when the work will be finished, but you can always click here for updates.
