The “Chicken House Pub” where this camera is located has recently changed ownership – We are awaiting the new owners to have their internet installed – We hope to have this camera back online as soon as possible – Thank you for your understanding!
You are now visiting one of our live webcam pages – We say ‘ours’ because it was ‘Your Albir’ that found the locations and fitted the cameras, and we service & maintain them. They would not be there without us, but of course we are very grateful to the Chicken House Pub, Paradise Cafe & Rascals Cafe, Altea for providing the locations & internet connection and to Skyline in Italy for providing the cameras & live feed so they can be seen all over the world via our website. We feel proud that the beautiful coastline here in Albir can be enjoyed 24/7 by everyone! Share these pages with your friends and family. Because of the thousands of visitors to these camera pages every day, it is a super place to advertise your business. Just contact us to learn more.
Albir lies just North of Benidorm on the road to Altea. Behind it lie the imposing range of the Bernia mountains with their jagged summits and on the Mediterranean border lie the Sierra Helada (ice mountain).
There is a path to the lighthouse, situated on top of this range that leads up from the beach. It is a modern cosmopolitan town, with low rise buildings, flowers, and wide tree lined avenues. Many older people from northern Europe have made it their home.
There are an abundance of restaurants and cafes lining the main street that leads down to the seafront, where you will find a pebble beach and the clearest torquoise sea. The bay is a popular place for watersports and there is always something to watch from the beachside cafes, with superb views of Altea and Calpe in the distance. On summer nights a little craft market can be found there and a special open air film festival is staged every year on the beach, next to the promenade of stars, just like the one in Hollywood.
There is also a superb ‘Fundacion’ building which hosts art exhibitions and concerts and the remains of a roman settlement, which is now a fascinating museum.
